Tom Mostad has been painting for over 30 years in various media, though currently he mainly paints with oil medium.  He has lived in Montana his entire live but enjoys to traveling wherever and when he can.  He has been a Signature Member in the Montana Watercolor Society for many years.

His art was shown at the CM Russell Museum as a part of The Russell Art Auction, in Great Falls, Montana. In 2022, Tom was awarded “An Artist of Merit” at the Out West Art Show in Great Falls, Montana, by the Montana Watercolor Society. His art was be at the Out West Show in March 2023, at which he participated in a quick draw competition. Also, in March 2023, he participated in C.M. Russell’s Charlie March Roundup Saturday Night Auction and Art in Action. In 2024, his work was shown at the Out West Art Show and he had a solo show at the Phillips Gallery in Kalispell, MT in April 2024. in December 2024 he had a solo show at the Sage Mountain Gallery, Helena MT. In February 2025 he participated in the show in Big Sky, MT.

His art is also shown at the Zara Gallery in Missoula Montana as well as the the Phillips Gallery.

Tom's artwork is a reflection of the natural beauty and history that is unique to the American West. The wildlife, landscapes and portraits are his views of the spirit, the time and the places that we only see for a moment, but want to last forever.
